THE STORY OF I.H. SCHLEZINGER, INC.
This is the story of an innovative company dealing in and processing scrap metal since 1915. Included are family facts as well as photos of family and business activities. The I.H. Schlezinger Company was one of the first in the nation to scrap or recycle automobile metals. It was sold in 1980 to Fortune 500 Company Worthington Industries. The author provides an inside view to a fascinating company. He writes, "It takes years and years to build a reputation in the scrap metal business and five minutes to ruin it - Our most important asset is our people." The scrap business was built by more than a few immigrant Jews. Ed Schlezinger shows us how it was done.
